This past weekend, I went to meet my man's daughter and his sister and her family. No pictures for this post, but I will be posting some pics of some of the things I saw. So anyways, back to my thoughts that came to me this weekend.
Thought #1. During a conversation with Ed's sister, she made a statement about the person we were talking about and said, "My life was not made any better or happier because I knew her." Well, I don't really want that being said about me. I would rather have people say that it was nice knowing Cindy and that she brought some kind of joy to their lives.
Thought #2. I make ALOT of assumptions on a daily basis. And these assumptions lead me to make up things in my mind that are not necessarily the case.
Thought #3. It's not all about me! LOL I know that this would make my brother-in-law happy to hear me say that, but that is not for him. LOL...anyways, this has to do with thought #2. When we assume things then we make it all about us and in reality...it's not. Everybody has their own reality. We just don't always have all the information and we try to fill in the blank spots and when we do this...we make up all kinds of stuff in our minds. So...I am going to try not to base my decisions off of assumptions.
I learned alot of things this weekend. I am going through a period of self discovery. I hope you don't mind joining in on the ride....

Check out the Four Agreements. Its a wonderful book. Whenever I think of assumptions I think of this book.
