Today has been a very interesting day for me. My blog had 90 hits, the most ever in one day, and let me tell you, it was kinda of stressful. I did a lot of self promotion today and the majority of the people that have sent me emails and such have been really nice but it is the other percentage that is getting to me. It is the ones who say nice things and then slap you down a bit....I just don't understand people sometimes. And why am I letting them get to me. Shake me up? If I was at work and someone told me hey good job but... I would tell them to kiss my ass! Because I am confident in my work. I know my job. But here...in the art world...I know nothing. So I have learned a lesson today of what not to do. I will keep things on the DL (Down Low) and don't announce to the world "Here I come". You just have to wait until after you get published to say "Hey, I did it!" That way, the people won't try and knock you down before you even get there. So....off I go, with my tail between my legs for tonight. Tomorrow is another day and I will wake up and start fresh and I will say "Here I Come" but shhhhhhh just not as loud.

Get that tail out from between your legs - now!
"they" will knock you down even if you are published too so stop worrying and hold your head up high.
i think what you have done is great - its new, different and very refreshing to see that.
Try not to pay any attention to the naysayers. Art is so subjective and everyone loves different things, so the most important thing to remember is to have fun with what you do! :) I LOVE your stuff, by the way. :)

I don't understand what's up with the people who can't be supportive and just wish you good things. It seems as if they feel there are a limited number of good opportunities out there and if you're being positive and moving forward it hurts them but the truth is that there are limitless opportunities for everyone and people need to have more of your "go get'em" attitude to make it happen.
